    For six days I competed in a tournament where there was one prize only for First Place.  I fought my way up to number one, and a few hours before the tourney ended, was knocked to second.  I then decided to keep rebuying to regain first place.  I made 3 deposits.  I won.  I was notified I had won the $250 prize.

    An hour later I went to my account and my balance was missing $125.

    I went to the tournament listing to see what happened.  Suddenly the one prize was split into 3 and my first prize was reduced by half.

    do you have a screen shot saying you won $250?  Also can you take the screenshot of tournament's prize pool distribution. ie where's saying there is only one prize for the 1st place ( $250 )?

  •   Yeah if they want to change the game after the fact, let them pay the other places out of a separate fund, and give you what you won fair and square. Is that why they offer rebuys and addons so they can take money out of your pocket, while your bent over, to make the runners up happy?
        Sounds pretty backwards. If it was a physical blackjack tournament I've heard of players who make final round agree or not agree with each other to share the wealth, but that's totally different. Why did I bring that up?
        I've always given JC more credit than that, I hope they'll make it right. especially if you insist, (they didn't know you were a big celebrity}

    No, I don't have either.  However, I have witnesses who saw what I saw, not that that will help.  I don't think they have yet disputed what I am saying; they only state the current state of the tournament.  If it were a legal matter, I could subpoena the other players involved.  But it is not and I am not hopeful just darn mad about it.
  • Also I am not dumb enough to stay up all night playing just to say I won.  It was all about the $250 single prize.  It's not easy playing Achilles with 2 minutes and 2000 points and making progress.  Heck, I would have stayed in third place, even.  That person is most likely very surprised as they had a few thousand whereas the top two spots were 171,000 and 141,000.

  • I have made a decision - Ok, I concede.  No proof and they say it may have shown that on my computer because of a technical issue and the popup said $125.  I can say it may have said that as I only glanced at it, and was expecting it to be $250 so maybe that's how I saw it.  I do know I was only looking at one single $250 prize, though, for the entire 6 days.  If they want to call that a tech error, on my computer, okay, but I find that doubtful.

    If you are having a good experience at Jackpot Capital, then by all means consider this an oddity.  It's not worth me remaining upset.

  • The reply from JC was reasonable and kind and of course they assume no responsibility and state that we see and saw things differently.  Here is my final response to them.


    I know what I was looking at regarding the only one prize issue. I had tons of time over the six days to see it.

    You can call it a technical issue if you like.  I wonder what the other players saw.

    As for the notice, what I saw was 250.  However, as it was only a glance and I expected to see 250, that is how I saw it, and being human and having a brain, I realize mistakes can happen so I won't argue about that.  I can only say truthfully, I did not see 125.

    And as you know, and I am not accusing you, records can be altered.  So I can only say that you represent that as what happened as I represent to you my truth.

    Life is too short and my emotional well being too precious for me to argue or pursue this further.  It was very unfortunate that this occurred. 

    As I can see you are a business and providing service to your customers comes in close after making a profit.  I am glad that at least you are acknowledging that I had the experience and you are being kind and not calling me a liar.  However, I still feel cheated out of some money because of this, no offense.  It is not my place to judge.  It is my place to take notice and I have.  You stand behind a statement that there is no fault on your part.  And so I understand why there is no offer to compensate me in any way. 

    From my side, though, as a customer and knowing that I was following the rules and not making things up and have experienced a hurt from doing business with you, it is not the same.  I think your business gives away money regularly in order to give incentive to maintain and grow your product.  Which makes me, however right or wrong, feel that you could easily have made a gesture of compensation without assuming any kind of wrongdoing on your part.  It could have eased the situation on my part without harming your business.  It could have been a sign to your public that you care.

    But that is over now.  In Texas, they call this a 'Mexican standoff' meaning we both retreat with eyes on our opponent, so that no one gets hurt and nobody wins or loses.  And we go on with what we were doing.

  • Hmmm.. this is now happening way too often. I mean, those technical/display errors. I'm suspicious about it, but unfortunately, I guess there's not much more that you can do here Chilly. I would be as pissed off as you, definitively. And you said it nicely, life is too short, and there's no point in risking your health with this.

  • This is not good.  Looks like we all need to cover ourselves with screenshots of rules of tournaments and prizes, along with amount won so this doesn't happen again.

    and sorry for the delayed reply. This has just been brought to my attention.

    I would like to start by pointing out that we did not rob anybody, because we did not keep any guaranteed money. The $250 have been fully paid to places 1,2 and 3.

    After a bit of research, I found the reason for the changing prize pool distribution.
    It has not been a glitch nor any other technical problem.

    This happened, because this kind of tournaments are set up with a dynamic distribution.
    The number of participating players determines how many places are actually played.



    In your case, new players joined the tournament, changing the prize pool distribution according to the graphic above.

    However, I do understand your frustration and have therefor contacted the casino manager to a) change the existing dynamic distribution table and b) have a look at your specific case to see what we can do for you.

  • Well, again, I continued to check the prize distribution as I couldn't believe for awhile anyway, that it was winner take all.  But I understand, things happen, and thank you guys for the $50 chip.  It did give me an opportunity to recoup some losses, though this time I didn't do too well.
