Armenia is a land-locked country located in south-eastern Europe. It borders Azerbaijan to the east, Iran to the south, Turkey to the south and west, and Georgia to the north.
The online gambling environment in Armenia is particularly atypical, and there may be no other country in the world right now with the same type of situation going on. There is no licensing process available, and it's illegal for Armenian players to play with sites licensed in other countries. However, there is no enforcement mechanism for this ban at any level whatsoever, and it's made even more complicated by the fact that land-based casinos in Armenia and betting companies offer their own Internet gambling sites that are actually licensed in other countries.
As if this wasn't strange enough, it's well-known that mobile gambling has been on the rise since this is a country where more than two-thirds of adults have smartphones, tablets or other mobile devices. Along these lines, there are some serious reforms needed to straighten out what's going on in this country since the laws and what's happening in practice are on completely opposite ends of the spectrum of possibility.
For some reason, Armenia hasn't shown any interest in licensing the online gambling industry. This is so strange because the demand and interest are already there and is being used by land-based companies that are licensed in the country. There's no way to know if they're going to license the Internet gambling industry anytime soon, but if they do, then it'll probably follow the same kinds of guidelines as their land-based industry. This means that these licenses will be fairly meaningful and keep the sites adhering to strong guidelines that will keep the games safe and legitimate.
It's explicitly illegal for players to get in on the action with foreign-operated online gambling sites. However, there is no enforcement of this law in any way, shape or form. They've shown no interest whatsoever of going after players (or companies for that matter) when it comes to gambling on the Internet. With that having been said, there are also no protections for players, so it's advised that players who get in on the action from Armenia should stick to sites that have a good reputation for taking care of international players.

"Well, you won't believe this (I am from the Netherlands) but the CSR told me they cannot give me 20fs, but instead credited me with EUR 10! Max cashout is EUR 50, max bet size during wagering is EUR 3 (30% of the bonus) but wagering is 99x bonus. Still very nice I think."READ
